Is this free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it is completely free and there is no account, sign-up or watermark. The site is supported by ads.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. The QR code is generated inside your browser using JavaScript. URLs, contact details and Wi-Fi passwords never leave your device. There is no server to send them to.
Do the QR codes expire?
No. These are static QR codes: the data is stored in the image itself, so they work forever without depending on this website.
Should I download PNG or SVG?
PNG is a pixel image — great for screens, documents and quick prints; choose 1024 px or more for print. SVG is a vector — it scales to any size without blur and is best for designers and large prints.
I changed the colors and now it won't scan.
Scanners need strong contrast between dark modules and the background, and the modules must be darker than the background. Keep contrast above 3:1 and avoid inverted (light-on-dark) codes. The preview shows a warning when this happens.
Which phones support Wi-Fi QR codes?
iPhone with iOS 11 or later and Android 10 or later recognize Wi-Fi QR codes in the built-in camera. Older devices may need a QR scanner app.
What happens when someone scans a vCard QR code?
The phone shows the contact details and offers to add them to the address book. Nothing is saved unless the person confirms.
What is the minimum print size?
As a rule of thumb, at least 2 cm (0.8 in) per side for short URLs, and 3–4 cm for dense codes like vCards. Always test-scan a print before mass-producing.
